today was my 18 month appointment. i am 34 inches tall, and i weigh 23.4 pounds. i had blood drawn and although it hurt i did really good. almost everything checked out perfect. my spine is straight but my feet are flat. yep i have flat feet. nothing to do about it until i start playing sports and then only if i have pain. at that point i will be fine with shoes that have custom insoles or possibly orthotics.
according to the doctor, my mommy-centricness is normal an indicates that i am heterosexual. i thought that was an interesting correlation to make and mommy, you know the researcher in the family, wants to see the data on that.

i like to pretend to use the potty. i walk up to it and lift my shirt. i stand there for a few moments and then i put my shirt down and try to flush it. i am becoming more aware of when i might need to use the potty. mommy and daddy are talking about getting me my own, that way when i am ready to use it i will be familiar with it.
i have become quite the little helper around the house. i like to help carry things out to the trash cans, and help take things out of the dishwasher. i also help vacuum.
i'm getting big too. i have learned how to open doors. i also stand on my little stool to brush my teeth and wash my hands. i also know all of my friends names.
i like to get in the frigde and rearrange things. in fact i found chocolate syrup in there one day and licked the top. now i love chocolate. mommy gave me an m & m one day and i have been asking for them everyday, multiple times a day, since. i think m & m is redundant, so i just call them m.
