i went to mommy's midwife appointmnet yesterday. daddy tagged along to keep me company. it was pretty boring.
i had decided to stop taking naps about the same time mommy found out she was pregnant. i did really good the first couple of weeks, but the last couple of days i have been taking naps again, and early (around noon as opposed to 2pm). mommy has been very pleased since this has allowed her to take naps too. everybody seems to be in better spirits when we take our naps. maybe i'll keep taking them, or maybe i wont . . .

i can't believe that i have failed to mention here how much i love vacuums. if you have talked to me on the phone lately though, you have probably heard me talking about them. they are often the first (and many times the only) thing i talk about on the phone. let me tell you about the vacuums we have; there is dan, the black vacuum in the garage, there is the dirty vacuum which is daddy's little shop vac in the garage, there is bee the electric broom in the kitchen, there is the fancy vacuum in the close that mommy and daddy use to vacuum the house (i wish they would do that everyday), and finally there is dusty, my play vacuum. mommy and daddy say i have an obsession. just because i constantly talk about and want to use vacuums, why does that mean i am obsessed?

sorry it has been so long. i have been busy getting this whole communication thing down. if you are interested in my current word list follow the link to the right and check it out. i just updated it.
seriously though, there are very few things that mommy and daddy tell me that i don't understand, and if they use a word i am unfamiliar with i will ask them what that word means. i also will amaze mommy and daddy with my memory. for instance today i was playing with a puzzle that has a racoon on it. mommy asked me what it was. i told her. then she asked me if i had seen one. i told her i saw one outside at grandpa and nana's house. i saw it at their house in nc when we went on our trip to see them in may '04.
the newest thing with me is the concept of being a big brother. mommy has a baby in her tummy. i am not exactly sure what that means, but i'm sure to find out.
i told mommy that she had a baby in her tummy the day before she found out! i know people ;-)
