as you can see from the video, i have started walking. i have been working on it for weeks, but last week i really got it all together and now look at me. i mostly walk and don't even bother trying to crawl anymore. ok world, watch out!

my big announcement today is that i am trying to walk. i balance and take a couple steps and then fall. i think the most i have taken so far is five steps. mommy thinks i will be walking by this time next month. i guess that changes the type of halloween costume i will be wearing.
i also have my two front teeth coming in. one has already broken through and the other is just starting to. that will bring my tooth count to six.

i turn 7 months old in two days, but yesterday was my six month check up. i weigh 20 lbs. 11 ozs. (approx. 85th percentile) and am 28.5 inches long (90th percentile). i also got a couple shots that made me feel a little icky yesterday. i'm better today though.
i now have have four teeth that hve broke through. the two bottom middle ones, and on top, not the two middle ones, but their neighbors. go figure.

there is one other thing that i forgot to mention in yesterday's post. i can climb stairs.
that's right. i gave momma a heart attack the other day when she turned her back on me for a minute and found me one step below the landing.
yesterday afternoon i went to watch aidan's swim lessons. i wanted to spalsh so bad that when i got home i started crawling up to the bath tub in the upstairs bathroom. daddy spotted me of course, but i managed to climb upstairs without assitance. then daddy gave me a bath so i could splash. what a guy!

well it is time for an update. i got another tooth coming in. not the next in order, but hey rules are meant to be broken, right? it is on the top, but it is not one of the middle teeth, but one next to them. mommy is afraid i am going to look like snaggle tooth.
besides that i am jammin' along on my crawling, and since i have been pulling myself up and standing since i started crawling, i think it is time to get some balance. i have started to let go while standing and see how long i can do it. i am getting good. i can last over 5 seconds sometimes. i even got a little trick the other day and put the free standing together with my new trick . . . clapping! yes i have discovered clapping too and enjoy it when the mood strikes me. mommy and daddy keep saying it looks so wrong for me to be standing by myself cause i am so little (eventhough they always talk about how big i am. i don't understand that), but i just want to keep up with aidan.

last week i went on two long drives. the first one i was not happy about, i fussed and cried just about as much as i slept. that had everyone on edge. the drive home was better. i fought falling asleep, but once i did i slept until we were back in murrieta.
our drive took us to las vegas. there was a pool where we stayed and here is a picture of daddy holding me in the pool while i taste his face:

we also cruised around town. on one day we were walking around and stopped at the fountain in the forum shops. here is a picture of aidan and me by the fountain:
that should wrap things up for this update. i will be sure to let you know when i start walking. that should be next week ;-)

my first tooth popped through my gums last week, followed by my second tooth today. you can't see them, but you can feel them.
also not only am i crawling everywhere now, but i like to crawl to something that i can pull myself up on and stand. i stand everywhere. sometimes i will start to move around the object that i am using to hold myself up.
this past weekend, bailey (one of my kitties) was laying on the third stair on our staircase, so i started to climb the stairs to get to her. when i was at grandmama's on saturday i was able to climb up the step she has too.
i also have fun wrestling with my brother, although sometimes he's a little slow in figuring out when i'm done.
i can hold toys in both hands and i am starting to experiment with more sounds. raspberries are one of my favorite sounds.
i have started to eat some baby foods. i am not too hot on peas, but i like sweet potatoes.
